OAKHILL Veterinary Centre is proud to announce the launch of its new Community Vet Nurse service, designed to bring expert veterinary nursing care directly to the homes of pets and their owners across the region. This pioneering service extends the exceptional standard of care Oakhill is known for, beyond the clinic walls, making vital support more accessible to those clients who may face challenges visiting the practice. Whether due to limited mobility, transport difficulties, or simply a pet’s anxiety with travel, the community nurse service offers a compassionate and convenient solution.

Led by qualified and experienced registered veterinary nurses, the service includes; post-operative check-ups, administration of medications, nail clipping and anal gland expression, weight management support, chronic condition monitoring, senior pet care and wellbeing reviews and advice for new pet owners. Judith Lee, small animal director at Oakhill, said: “Our Community Vet Nurse service is all about making it easier for our clients to access the help they need. “By providing expert nursing care at home, we reduce stress for pets and offer added reassurance to owners - particularly the elderly, those without transport, or those managing busy lifestyles.”
