PET carers supported by Dignipets can now connect with qualified counsellors who specialise in pet loss and bereavement through a partnership with the Association of Pet Bereavement Counsellors.
Dignipets is a group of independent vets and nurses providing at-home hospice and end-of-life care for pets in their local areas.
Its mission is to support pet owners from the moment of diagnosis through bereavement and beyond, offering hospice care, peaceful home euthanasia and meaningful aftercare that honours the special bond between people and their companion animals.

Through its Pet Loss Support Network and their mobile application, Dignipets can connect pet carers with qualified counsellors across the UK via the Association of Pet Bereavement Counsellors network.
The association represents qualified and experienced counsellors who specialise in pet bereavement.
It recognises that pet loss is a genuine and significant grief and provides professional, confidential support tailored to individual needs through a UK-wide network of practitioners offering various counselling approaches.
Dignipets says that professional bereavement counsellors offer specialised therapeutic support that complements its hospice team and peer support groups.
Lucy Cussen, co-founder of the Association of Pet Bereavement Counsellors, said:
"We are pleased to formalise this partnership with Dignipets to connect pet carers with qualified counsellors who specialise in pet bereavement."
Pet carers can request a call back from an association counsellor via the Dignipets mobile application.
